GOOD NEWS
I received good news last night from a fellow Tarpon Springs creative Sigurdsson Halldor. A while back he had photographed me doing some plein air painting downtown Tarpon Springs. He wrote to tell me he had won 1st prize in the Arts/Culture division of the township photo contest with one of the photos. Hats off to Hal! A talented photographer. He also said I am being included in the township tourism video that was shot the same day. I will try to link to that video when it is made public. I included here one of the photos Sigurdsson Halldor took and a photo of the finished painting. (original and prints available at loisbajor.com )
A STUDIO MUST HAVE
FOR THOSE ORGANIZING THEIR STUDIO or SOMETHING I LEARNED THE HARD WAY My studio has a built in workbench , but it vibrates when using power tools and during the summer the vibration caused a sharp item I had stored on a top shelf to fall and gash my leg. One thing leads to another. Left a scar. LESSONS LEARNED: Don't store things on those high shelves ( it only seems like a good idea) Always have phone in studio in case of emergency Get stiches for deep wounds Arrange the studio with safety in mind Have 1st aid kit available
